United Earth Federation

"Legends were born. Mighty deeds accomplished by these ships and their crews were recited in story to every child, so that they are still remembered today."

Elder Martin Mandho

UEF Uhlan

The UEF Uhlan is the most commonly used fightercraft in the United Earth Navy. Designed primarily for space superiority, the Uhlan is a cost-efficient design that is inexpensive to produce and relatively easy to pilot. The Uhlan is compatible with most Navy weapons and is generally considered a medium-performance vessel. The Uhlan is able to operate within an atmosphere due to an aerodynamic design, but a lack of manoeuvring thrusters means the craft is less nimble in space than GTVA equivalents.

UEF Kentauroi

The Kentauroi is a high-performance specialised interceptor and strike platform. At full afterburn, the Kentauroi can outrun any other fighter class in the field, and is unrivalled in its ability to perform surgical strike missions against well-defended targets. The versatility of the design suffers from a limited weapons compatibility.

UEF Uriel

Uriel assault fighters are the gunship class of the Federation. Heavy armour and a devastating frontal array of cannons makes the Uriel the premier weapons platform against large, slow-moving targets. Uriels excel in various missions ranging from airstrikes on ground targets to full-scale assaults against cruiser assets. The fighter is also equipped with an underslung heavy railgun cannon, further increasing its weapons potential. The low manoeuvrability and top speed of the Uriel limits its effectiveness in dogfights, but some pilots have learned to compensate for these shortcomings.

UEB Durga

With a firepower rating that is termed "excessive" by many of those in the ruling Council of Elders, the Durga assault bomber carries enough ordnance to level several large planetary cities. As a weapons platform, it is more than capable of neutralising ships approaching destroyer-class specifications. The only strike craft capable of carrying the potent Sledgehammer torpedoes, the Durga is the hammer blow when negotiation has failed, and the complete destruction of the enemy is the only option.

UEF Lao Tze

Ever since its first deployment, the Lao Tze fighter has become synonymous with the White Guard, whose elite knights use this craft as their vehicle of choice. These fighters are well suited for escort duties and space superiority, combining heavy armour with overbearing firepower. The Lao Tze's signature weapon is a rapid-fire mass driver that is capable of dealing heavy damage to all target types. The weapon is usually reserved for the rare occasions where Lao Tze's are tasked to defend their targets against heavy enemy assaults. Though the fighter has powerful engines, the craft's manoeuvrability suffers both from its weight and a lack of manoeuvring thrusters.

UET Upanishad

The Upanishad is officially classed as a transport, but is more akin to a light cruiser. The Upanishad is a purpose-built heavy transport equipped with advanced communication systems and command facilities usually reserved for flagship destroyers. Primarily used to transport Federation leaders through contested space, the ship is well protected by several light to medium point defense cannons. The Upanishad also makes use of a stealth superstructure designed to minimise the ship's sensor profile.

UEC Sanctus

The Sanctus occupies a tactical space between the Karuna frigates and the old GTA Great War-era cruisers. The UEF military officially designates the Sanctus as a next-generation cruiser, though the ship's dimensions approach those of the Vasudan Sobek corvette. The cruiser was designed with the Federation Navy's philosophy of generalisation in mind, and as such has enough cargo space to serve as a military freighter and transport while still performing adequately as a warship.

UEFg Karuna

The Karuna class frigates are the backbone of the new Federation Navy and are the most versatile warships in the fleet. While smaller than the old Orion class destroyers, they are faster and pack a much greater punch. Armed with several point defence turrets, railguns and heavy missile batteries, they are a deadly threat to any ship that engages them in battle. Ideally suited to independent intrasystem duties, they have been instrumental in maintaining peace and order within Sol. As Solar military forces continue to move closer and closer towards a more generalised ship design, Karuna frigates are expected to serve the navy in their current capacity well into the foreseeable future.

UED Solaris

The Solaris destroyers are the last line of capital ships for the Federation Navy after the Orion-class destroyers were phased out of service. These destroyers serve as mobile command bases for fightercraft and transport operations, though this role has over the years been increasingly delegated to the smaller and cheaper Karuna frigates. Despite being a source of great pride and solidarity for the Federation, the last Solaris was taken out of active service in 2379. Upon the declaration of war by the Earth government, the three Solaris destroyers in reserve were returned to active duty, and have since provided much-needed strength to the Federation navy.

UEI Kumari

The largest of Federation installations is the Kumari. These massive structures form the core of every space community, and are a hub for trade, communications and travel. Although these structures were not designed for long-term accommodation, many officers, crew, pilots and civilians based on a Kumari consider these stations their home.
